The Sound of Music Live is a television special that aired on the 5th December 2013 by NBC. It is adapted from the 1959 musical The Sound of Music by Rodger and Hammerstein.

The musical is about a novice nun, Maria, who is sent to the Von Trap Family as a governess for the family’s 7 children. Along the way she falls in love with the widowed father the family. At the end the whole family escape Austria via the mountains in-between Austria and Switzerland in order to escape the Nazis Germany have annexed Austria. The musical is set just before the Second World War

I will rate the film into five categories, lighting, sound, sadness, music and Autism friendly. I will also give an overall score.

Lighting and sound categories are in reference to light and sound sensitivity.  As a person with Autism I have both but it is possible to have one or the other and still be a person with Autism

Lighting: 10/10

Sadness: 0/10

Sound: 10/10

Music: 10/10

Overall Score: 9/10

Autism Friendly: Yes

My opinion of this musical film is that its a extremely enjoyable experience for all of the family and the songs are sung beautifully . However, I do prefer the song order in the film version of this musical.
