The Rescuers is the 23rd Disney Feature-length animated film. It was released on 22nd June 1977 and is based on the book series of the same name written by Margery Sharp.

The film begins with a young orphan girl sending a message for help in a bottle. The bottle is intersected by the Rescue Aid Society which is run by mice from all over the world. Two of the agents from the agency are sent to go and rescue the girl. After many adventures with various different characters including an albatross, the mice rescue the girl and the film ends with the girl being adopted.

Bernard suffers from triskaidekaphobia, or fear of the number 13.
Bianca’s name comes from the Italian word bianco, meaning “white”.
Madam Medusa lives in a half-sunken steamboat. In an early draft of the script, she lived in a rundown mansion.
Madame Medusa gets her name from the Greek mythological creature who could turn a person to stone with just the power of her gaze.

I will rate the film into five categories, lighting, sound, sadness, scariness and Autism friendly. I will also give an overall score.
Lighting and sound categories are in reference to light and sound sensitivity. As a person with Autism I have both but it is possible to have one or the other and still be a person with Autism
Lighting: 1/10
Sadness: 1/10
Sound: 1/10
Scariness: 1/10
Overall Score: 6/10
Autism Friendly: Yes

My opinion of this film is that its a lovely lighthearted children’s film, However I do feel that I would have enjoyed it more if I had watched the film as a child instead of just an adult.
